As part of our renewed commitment in NHS South East to supporting Neighbourhood, Place and System working, we were pleased to offer an opportunity to be part of a new network and a new learning programme. We invited participants from each Integrated Care Board (ICB) in the South East.
About the programme
The programme is running as four virtual interactive sessions, between June – October 2025, and focusing on key themes in systems leadership; how to understand what happens in complex situations; working across boundaries; building relationships and getting to shared purpose; working with different forms of power and politics; and using influence to effect change.
Participants have the opportunity to learn from others in the space, benefit from their experiences and collaborate with peers.
Each session blends:
- expert input
- real-time problem solving
- peer learning
- building a toolkit of ideas, approaches and techniques which can be used time after time.
Session 1 | How do we work in Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity? |
Session 2 | How do we influence without direct power? |
Session 3 | How do we take people with us and lead through change? |
Session 4 | What does this mean for place based / neighbourhood leaders? |
The first cohort of the programme is running across Wednesdays 25th June and 16th July and Tuesdays 23rd September and 14th October 2025 (2 hour sessions). All sessions are virtual.
Who is this programme for?
This virtual programme is for people inside and outside the NHS, who have an interest in working collaboratively at neighbourhood and place and want to take action to improve health and care for their citizens.
