Working Remotely and Shielding

Ask for support | Talk to someone | Get practical help

Many of us have been working from home for almost a year now. Others have teams split between on-site and off-site due to shielding and social distancing. Shielding staff are facing periods without clear direction and redeployment to unfamiliar roles.

It has brought up all sorts of issues for everyone. Common issues people have shared include guilt at not being able to support the important frontline work, struggles to maintain a sense of team purpose and connection, strong emotional reactions to increased isolation and uncertainty of our task leading to questioning our own worth. While others have embraced new ways of working that meet needs for flexible working.

It is important to remember you are not alone. It is normal to struggle. You are valued.
