Carers

Ask for support | Talk to someone | Get practical help

There are many of us amongst NHS staff who provide care and support to a family member or friend due to their disability, health condition, frailty, mental health problem, addiction or other health and care need. Navigating the maze of services and support available and coping with the pressures of caring can be a challenge even without the pandemic.

To support NHS staff who are carers all NHS organisations can now access:

  • The carers passport to support 1:1 discussions between NHS carers and line managers
  • The Employers for Carers portal with resources to support line managers
  • Resources for carers, including videos and guides on how to manage workload and wellbeing.
