Edward Jenner Programme Wrap-around Support

The South East Leadership Academy are pleased to announce an upcoming opportunity for all aspiring managers working in health and care in the South East region to join a peer network of monthly Learning into Practice sessions while completing the 6-month online Edward Jenner programme to support their work and personal development.

Programme outline:

The programme consists of two parts:

  • completing the 6-month online Edward Jenner programme
  • participating in monthly facilitated Learning into Practice virtual sessions.

Edward Jenner programme:

The Edward Jenner programme is your first port of call if you’re looking to build a strong foundation of leadership skills that can help enhance your confidence and competence in your role. The programme has been designed to offer flexibility as a suite of online short courses.  For more information about the Edward Jenner Programme, please click here.

Learning into Practice Sessions:

These will involve up to 30 people, with work in smaller groups as well as plenary. Each of the six Learning into Practice sessions will focus on a core theme (see table below) and explore two key topics within this theme.

Each session will have the same format:

  • An overview of Topic 1 in the large group
  • Discussions in small groups (3-4 people) to apply and discuss the topic
  • Plenary discussion in the main group, picking up queries and applying learning about this topic to your work setting.

Break

  • An overview of Topic 2 in the large group
  • Discussions in small groups (3-4 people) to apply and discuss the topic
  • Plenary discussion in the main group, picking up queries and applying learning about this topic to your work setting.

The sessions are open to all aspiring business managers working in Primary Care within the South East region.

About the Facilitator

The sessions will be facilitated by Dr Jeanne Hardacre, Founding Director of Impact4Health (www.impact4.co.uk), which is a specialist leadership, OD and culture change consultancy.

Among a wide range of NHS teams, Jeanne is supporting several primary care practices, PCNs and practice manager forums with their leadership in a virtual context.
