Talent and Leadership Dispatch – 8 July 2024
Welcome to our July newsletter. We hope the sun is shining with you.
We continue the process of transitioning to the new South East (SE) People and Culture Team in the Workforce, Training and Education directorate in NHS England South East region. To reflect these changes and our Talent and Leadership teams coming together, now on the 19th July 2024 we are changing our email address to [email protected]. Please do remember to update your address book.
We would also like to introduce you to our new team. We have a wealth of knowledge, passion and experience in talent and leadership and, also, in the South East region. We are delighted to be working with you.
We are excited to announce the establishment of a new Talent and Leadership Network for practitioners across the NHS. This informally structured network aims to bring together passionate individuals dedicated to fostering leadership and talent development within our organisation and supporting the South East People and Culture team in delivering our work.
Why Join the Network?
- -> Collaborate and Connect: Engage with like-minded professionals to share best practices, ideas, and resources
- -> Community Building: Help develop focused communities of practice across the South East, for example for qualified Mary Seacole facilitators or Coaches
- ->Influence and Impact: Play a key role in shaping leadership and talent initiatives across the NHS.
Requirements for Participation:
- – your role or portfolio should include responsibilities related to leadership, talent or organisational development
- – ability to influence leadership and talent development within your role
- – commitment to actively contribute to the network’s activities and goals
- – passion for fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity, and excellence in the NHS.
We are planning to run the first session in Autumn and will be in touch six weeks in advance. If you are interested in being part of this dynamic network, please express your interest here.
Together, we can drive meaningful change and elevate our leadership and talent practices. We look forward to your involvement.
We also continue developing the eLearning modules on our South East Leadership Learning Zone, so please do explore the zone and the modules to support your leadership journey, and remember to look at our other independent self-directed eLearning offers. There is also the national NHS Leadership Academy – Learning hub with easy to access learning materials and short learning solutions designed by experts for the development of NHS staff of all levels to work though at their own pace.
If your colleagues are not yet receiving this newsletter, please do ask them to sign up using the section below.
