Coaching Supervision with Rebecca Burden

Free

About the session:

We are pleased to invite you to register your interest to attend a Coaching Supervision Session, led by Rebecca Burden.

Coaching supervision provides a safe, supportive environment for you to reflect on your coaching, share your successes, discuss issues and questions that might emerge from your practice and consider areas of development to enable you to become masterful in the way you work with your clients. Supervision plays a significant role in helping you build your knowledge, increase self-awareness, and improve your coaching practice.

The approach I use allows you to critically reflect on your practice, explore what worked well and what didn’t, gain insight into your strengths and potential blind spots, while harnessing the insight and resource of a group of 6-8 other coaches attending to support you. The format is characterised by active listening and thoughtful questioning. The use of simple rules of reflection will allow you and the rest of the group to take stock of your coaching, explore your thoughts and feelings around your work, and strengthen understanding and confidence.

The supervision will cover individual and whole group questions and topics. You will have the opportunity to explore individual issues or questions, as well as themes shared by the group, with attention around:

  • analysis of coach’s cases to explore possibilities for new interventions and coaching strategies
  • reflection on the coach’s internal thought processes and assumptions
  • revealing blind spots
  • exploring ethical issues and contracting challenges
  • deepening self-awareness
  • brainstorming solutions to complex and challenging coaching situations
  • appreciating and celebrating the accomplishments of the coach
  • developing confidence and standards of competence
