Career Coaching CPD Workshop

Free

About the session:

We are pleased to be able to offer our Coaches this virtual CPD opportunity which aims to enhance knowledge, skills, and experience in holding career conversations and enable the provision of effective support to leaders including reflection on strengths and areas for development to support effective transitions, examining thoughts and feelings about current roles and consideration of what the next steps in their careers might be.

What They Are?

Career Development Conversations are a set of coaching conversations a leader can have to help people understand, prioritise, and act on their long-term career ambitions.

People are often unaware of how they can grow in their careers, and as a coach, you can help. These conversations help provide clarity on how best to make meaningful progress.  Career coaching conversations can play a major role in talent management by helping people think through their aspirations and helping them to take ownership of their careers.

Content will include:

  • Hosting career conversations in the current and wider contexts
  • Career conversation principles including creating the right conditions
  • Exploring different career and life stages
  • Identifying and utilising different tools including work/life wheels, career timelines, scaling, circles and zoning tools, visioning and questioning technique

This workshop will provide opportunities to reflect, explore key concepts, provide safe space to learn and practice, network, and share experiences with colleagues.  Participants will also be provided with materials to supplement their learning.
