About the session:
Part of our Autumn-Winter Career Series, this new 90 minute session aims to strengthen leaders’ ability to communicate change clearly and compassionately to support team trust, motivation and adaptability.
Build your confidence in communicating with transparency and impact. This session will help you craft messages that build trust, reduce anxiety and keep people connected through times of uncertainty.
This is the third of 3 new sessions around change which are being delivered by Rachel Thompson.
In this session, we will:
• Explore tools for supportive and effective communication during change
• Use models and approaches including:
- – SCARF model (psychological drivers in social interactions)
- – THRIVE and OSCAR for coaching through challenge.
- – Techniques for difficult conversations, active listening, and empathetic communication.

About the Facilitator – Rachel Thompson
Rachel is an experienced Chartered Occupational Psychologist.
Passionate about using psychology to create healthy teams and organisations and support individual development, with a focus on the NHS both Primary and Secondary Care.
With 13+ years qualified practice working with individuals, teams and organisations.
A focused on manager and leader development, change management, team performance & development and inclusion & diversity and
experience as a Management Consultant and an in-house practitioner with a focus on the design, delivery and evaluation of development programmes for a wide range of private and public sector clients.
Level A & B certified including Hogan Personality Psychometric and an Action Learning Practitioner
