Listening to leaders in the South East: join the big conversation
We have launched an engagement initiative for the South East Leadership Academy, Listening to Leaders, now that we are a combined team we genuinely want to ensure the offer we create in the South East meets the needs of all of our leaders in the region. Our intention is to start a multi-channel ‘Big Conversation’ with a range of leaders from across the South East over the coming months.
We are inviting leaders and emerging leaders from across all parts of the NHS as well as our colleagues and partners in hospices, care homes, social care and the voluntary sector, to join the big conversation and share their insights, challenges, successes and needs as leaders within the NHS and the wider care sector. Our aspiration is to synthesise a range of views which will feed into the South East Leadership Academy 21/22 business planning cycle – ensuring we act on what we hear from you.
As part of this engagement process we are planning a series of virtual engagement events, including:
Listening to system leaders, 9 November, 9:00-10:30
This session is focused on system leaders, who are currently in a leadership role at a system level working across STP, ICS, ICP or similar. These roles could be in Primary Care, provider Trust or a wider heath and care organisation. We want to hear the voices from across the whole health and social care system in each of the 6 South East areas. This events is now full.
Listening to all leaders, 19th November, 15:00 – 16:30
We welcome all leaders in health and care into this session, so that we can hear from as many voices as possible. We are trying to reach a leadership audience as broad as possible for this group including patient leaders, community care leaders, allied health professionals and others from the wider health and care system. This events is now full.
Listening to frontline leaders, 20th November, 9:30 – 11:00
This session is focused on those working in frontline positions with responsibilities for patients, people and/or services, whether they are from a clinical or non-clinical background. We would also love to hear from other you if you are from a non-NHS environment, such as hospices, care homes, social care and the voluntary sector. This events is now full.
Listening to emerging leaders, 25th November, 9:30 – 11:00
This session is aimed at those leaders who have recently taken on their first line management responsibility or are aspiring to move into their first leadership role in the near future, for example alumni of GMTS, Edward Jenner, Mary Seacole or similar leadership development programmes. This is an opportunity to share experiences and to build a network of peers at a similar point in their leadership journey. This events is now full.
We will also be inviting senior leaders from across the South East system to participate in our Big Conversation to gain their perspectives and insights.
In return for your participation we hope to give you an opportunity for reflection and learning within this initiative – some welcome time to connect and network with peers and explore the unique experiences we are sharing as leaders during this unprecedented period in health and care.
