HLM Feedback Facilitator training (Session 2 of 2)
What is 360 degree feedback?
360 degree feedback is a powerful tool to help individuals identify where their leadership strengths and development needs lie. The HLM offers 360° feedback which includes a process for getting confidential feedback from line managers, peers and direct reports. As a result, it gives an individual an insight into other people’s perceptions of their leadership abilities and behaviour.
The opportunity to work through 360° feedback with a trained facilitator increases both the impact and the value of the information for the individual and the return on investment for the organisation.
More about the training:
This interactive programme is designed to give you an understanding of the HLM 360° model and how to interpret 360° reports in order to manage effective feedback sessions. At the end of the programme, you will be qualified to provide feedback using the NHS Healthcare Leadership tool and you will be able to:
-
- deploy a full range of facilitation skills for many different types of feedback situations
- help individuals draw conclusions from a mass of detail, decide what the priorities are, produce an action plan and feel enthused about their future development
- start having an open discussion about the participant’s behaviours and leadership approach
- communicate messages clearly and at the same time, show sensitivity towards the individual, especially where there is surprising or even ‘unwanted’ information
- facilitate and understand group processes, interactions and enable a team to take on board the feedback, both as individuals and as team members
- provide effective feedback
The training will include some preparatory work including completing an E-learning module and completion of a 360° Feedback Assessment.
