Coaching CPD: Coaching in a Crisis (Cohort 3)

Free

About the session:

This session will explore Coaching in a Crisis from the perspective of the coach:  building an understanding of how to be impactful as a coach in a time-limited, outcome focused coaching session.

Calibrating your practice to supporting a coachee in potentially one standalone session can be challenging.  Overcoming some of the potential barriers, natural preference and indeed bias to practicing in longer term coaching relationships will be key. We will explore the practicalities of contracting effectively to build rapport and trust quickly and then practice in an agile way along the spectrum of coaching to best meet the needs of the coachee.

The session will build upon your current knowledge and experience whilst revisiting coaching models, tools and techniques to build confidence in your practice in a short-term coaching relationship. You can expect a highly interactive session with plenty of opportunity to practice your coaching skills.

Commitment:

You will need to attend both the development session as well as a follow up session to be scheduled approximately 6 weeks after. Upon registering for this CPD opportunity we kindly ask for you to secure this date in your diaries.

We are looking for willingness to providing around 3 – 6 x 45-minute crisis coaching sessions per year (these may be one offs, or, up to 3 sessions with one coachee). These relationship will be  included in your current commitment to SELA Coaching hours.
