Autumn-Winter Career Series: Leading Through Change

Free

About the session:

Part of our Autumn-Winter Career Series, this new 90 minute session aims to support leaders to recognise, understand and respond effectively to resistance and challenging behaviours during change. Explore how to guide teams with care and clarity during times of transition. You’ll unpack the psychology of change and learn practical techniques to support people with compassion, focus and confidence. This is the first of 3 new sessions around change which are being delivered by Rachel Thompson.

In this session, we will:

• Explore common emotional and behavioural responses to change

• Use models to guide supportive leadership practice:
  • SCARF model (addressing threat and reward responses to change)
  • Bridges’ Transition Model (supporting others through endings, transition and new beginnings)
  • – Practical tools for responding to resistance and maintaining team engagement

Key Takeaway:

• Confidence and clarity in navigating team dynamics during periods of uncertainty.

Who is this session for?

All South East NHS health and social care colleagues working in the region.
