Self-Discovery Programme (Part 2 of 2)

About the workshop:

Research shows that the most powerful factor influencing culture is leadership. Leaders who model compassion, inclusion and dedication to improvement in all their interactions are the key to creating cultures of continuous improvement in health and care.

This 2-part session uses the science of psychology to help you explore your own self-awareness, emotional intelligence and personal impact with the aim of helping you to reach your leadership potential and achieve your career aspirations. It is aimed at emerging leaders, clinical and non-clinical staff in band 5, and above.

What will be covered:

These interactive virtual workshops, conducted over 2 x 2.5hr sessions will give you the opportunity to:

    • Explore your personal values, motivations, and preferences for how you live and work.
    • Think about yourself in your current role, your purpose, your level of contentment, and how well you think you perform.
    • Understand how your emotions drive how you think and behave.
    • Explore how you manage your emotions when faced with particularly difficult situations or work-life challenges and how you might better manage those situations.
    • Protected time to explore your career/life journey and aspirations.
    • Understand your impact on others and how you might be perceived by others

You will be asked to complete some pre-session and post self reflection work, which is all designed to support the learning in the sessions and help you in the development of a personal action plan that captures your knowledge and skills so far in in your career and ensures some time to consider and understand the support you might need to implement your plan.
