Black History Month October 2022

This year the theme for Black History Month 2022 is “Time for Change: Action Not Words.”

This year, the aim is to recognise the achievements and contributions that Black people make to the UK every day. To get to a better tomorrow, it can’t just be about focusing on the past. The past is in the past. It can be acknowledged and learnt from, but to improve the future, there needs to be action, not words.

During October, we aim to raise awareness of Black History Month 2022 and the theme of this year by celebrating the work of our black staff and showcasing their work and aspirations and creating conversations amongst our own staff too.
