Leadership Espresso – Leadership Support Circles

About the session:

Leadership Support Circles are part of our National Health and Wellbeing response to Covid19 to support the wellbeing of #OurNHSPeople. They provide evidence-based guidance and tools in a series of short, themed and interactive online sessions based on 10 principles for leading compassionately. Leadership Support Circles are a reflective space for managers at all levels to come together in a multi-disciplinary setting to share their experiences and be heard.

Leadership support circles offer time and reflective safe space for those with responsibility for managing others through:

A multi-disciplinary, interactive space for people managers at all levels to come together, share their experiences and be heard

Drawing on practices including Schwartz Rounds and Care Circles often used by clinicians

Who is this session for?

The NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.

About the Facilitators

Beth Hill, Systems Leadership Senior Manager

Beth started her career as an accountant with Ernst and Young and joined the NHS through the GMTS. She has a good understanding of the NHS, having worked in many different organisations, in different roles and in different teams, before specialising in Organisational Development.  Her interests are system working, change management, leadership development and public health.

Beth joined the Leadership Academy in March 2021 to develop the systems leadership programmes.  She is a coach, with a particular interest inclusive coaching, MBTI facilitator, and an action learning set facilitator.

Jess Done, Leadership Development Senior Manager

Jess has a passion for the personal, educational and professional development of individuals; supporting the staff of the NHS to be able to deliver better health and care outcomes. She has extensive experience running complex strategic and operational programmes, and an understanding of embedding these within health and social care. After a number of years working in the corporate sector, she has returned to the South East Leadership Academy with a drive to build an inclusive leadership community and co-create truly innovative and successful leadership and organisational development solutions.

Emma Fulton, Leadership Development Manager

As a Leadership Development Manager in the SELA, Emma works with leaders, teams & systems to support and enhance their self-awareness, skills & behaviours, dynamics, team understanding and team effectiveness. She is the Digital Learning Lead for the South East, and is a key contact for Coaching and Mentoring. Qualified as an MBTI facilitator, EQi, HLM 360 and an Executive coach Emma realised early on that her passion and purpose is to encourage the growth of others and, when coaching, seeing those light bulb moments is what drives her to continue to encourage individuals by providing them the time and space to think, and bring their best self to work each and every day.
