Leadership Dispatch – 8 July

Welcome to our July edition of the Leadership Dispatch.

It has been refreshing recently to see some brighter days, lighter nights and you may have even been lucky enough to enjoy a summer holiday or have one planned. There is something about the summer months which help many of us take some time to reflect, recharge and reset for the rest of the year ahead, and its always much needed.

As we are moving into a quieter period over the summer months, we are taking this time as a team to reflect and plan head – we are looking to deliver a refresh of our programmes in September which will be focussed around Compassionate and Inclusive Leadership, High Performing Teams and Resilience as well as a new and exciting co-collaboration model with the rest of our Regional Leadership Academies for a National Coaching CPD offer and a new National Coaching and Mentoring Register. We look forward to sharing more details with you all soon, including booking links to the new programme and offers.

We’d like to highlight some of our events and resources still available to you over the summer, which include:

Population Health Management. I’m pleased to let you know that we have started registering expression of interests for our pan-regional masterclasses.

We will be running three different masterclass topics on:

  • PHM and Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Techniques to embed PHM approaches in day-to-day work
  • PHM and Health Inequalities

Each masterclass will run 7 times. We should have confirmed dates by the end of the month but in the meanwhile we just want to advertise this offer as wide as we can and to ensure our colleagues in the South East region know about this upcoming offer.

Lastly, on a personal note, I will be leaving the team and moving into a new role within a trust at the end of July. Over the last 2 years since joining SELA, I have met many of our wonderful colleagues across the South East in our events, including Leadership Espressos and in Coaching and Mentoring CPD and training – and I wanted to say a huge thank you to you all. It really has been a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your experiences and learnings with me throughout my time on the team. Take good care, stay safe and keep learning and growing.
