SUMMARY:Session 3 - Navigating Change and Uncertainty
DESCRIPTION:This is the third of three 90-minute themed sessions supporting senior leaders\, with a focus on reflection\, resilience and discernment through the Thinking Environment. Participants will practise simple techniques that support both personal clarity and team confidence\, especially when navigating change\, ambiguity or emotional strain. \nObjectives: \n\nTo explore how the Thinking Environment® supports calm\, clear thinking under pressure.\nTo shift the emphasis from urgency and control to discernment and presence.\nTo equip leaders with simple tools to support themselves and others in navigating uncertainty.\n\nOutcomes: \n\nParticipants will experience a structured way to pause and reflect before acting.\nThey will understand how attention\, equality and ease foster better decision-making.\nThey will leave with greater self-awareness and practical insights to apply in their own settings.\n\nWho’s the session for?\nThese sessions are for Senior Health Leaders working across the South East who play a pivotal role within the region’s Integrated Care Systems (ICSs). This includes leaders working at provider level\, General Practice\, within an Integrated Care Board (ICB)\, across Community sector or as part of a partner organisation.  \nBook your Place:\nPlease book your place via the green RSVP ‘Going’ button below. Grounded in evidence and brought to life through real stories\, this half-day training creates a safe but stretching environment to explore how the wolf we feed\, shapes our ability to flourish as individuals and as teams. Challenging but supportive\, emotive yet evidence-based\, this session equips leaders and teams to recognise hidden misalignments\, reclaim their agency\, strengthen human connection\, and build cultures where both people and performance can truly thrive.\n\nTogether\, we will open up honest and respectful conversations about:\n\n• How we work\, feel\, and relate – recognising that belonging and connection are not just “nice to have” but fundamental to human needs and central to being clinically effective as a team\n\n• The purpose we represent – what this means for our identity\, individually and collectively\n\n• “Othering” and the single story – why it matters who feels seen\, who doesn’t\, and how we can broaden our perspectives\n\n• The true meaning of “alpha” – and the leadership parallels we share with wolf packs\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n• Surfacing the shadow culture – revealing where everyday behaviours diverge from stated organisational values and how to close those gaps\n\n \n\n \n\n• Our agency and power – how we can harness team culture to drive the change we want to see\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\n\nWho is this session for?\nAll South East NHS health and social care colleagues working in the region.\n\nBook your place:\nPlease book your place via the green RSVP ‘Going’ button below.
