Particular focus is placed on “self-limiting” beliefs\, unconscious biases\, self -awareness and the impact of culture exhibited in the workplace. \nPrior to becoming and independent coach and coach supervisor\, I enjoyed an extensive career in the NHS. My coaching experience embraces my history of working in senior (Board) positions in the public sector. I held positions nationally working in the Department of Health\, regionally (Strategic Health Authority working across Oxfordshire\, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire) and in Primary (community) and Secondary Care (hospitals).  My experience as an executive board member in the NHS has proven beneficial to coaching and supervising aspirant and recently established executive team members.

DESCRIPTION:This is the second of three 90-minute themed sessions supporting senior leaders\, with a focus on reflection\, resilience and discernment through the Thinking Environment. Designed for those navigating change in complex roles.  The series began with Loving the NHS (without adoring it)\, and continues with this session\, The Tragic Gap\, followed by Session 3: Navigating Change and Uncertainty. \nAbout the session:\nBased on the work of Parker J. Palmer\, the Tragic Gap describes the space between the way things are and the way we know they could be. For many NHS leaders\, holding this gap is part of daily life: we long for equity\, compassion and systemic change\, while grappling with resource constraints\, bureaucracy and moral injury.\nThis session offers a compassionate and practical lens to help leaders stay grounded in that tension. Using the Thinking Environment®\, we’ll reflect on how to maintain moral courage without collapsing into cynicism or retreating into wishful thinking. It’s a powerful space for those who care deeply and need a place to breathe. \nObjectives: \n\nTo introduce the Tragic Gap as a leadership stance amidst systemic tension and change.\nTo support participants in navigating disillusionment\, fatigue\, or idealism.\nTo foster resilience by framing leadership as a practice of staying present in complexity.\n\nOutcomes: \n\nParticipants will develop a deeper understanding of the psychological demands of leading through uncertainty.\nThey will explore how to avoid common traps of cynicism or false optimism.\nThey will leave with a framework to support long-term engagement without burnout.\n\nWho’s the session for?\nThese sessions are for Senior Health Leaders working across the South East who play a pivotal role within the region’s Integrated Care Systems (ICSs). SUMMARY:Group Coach Supervision with Fenella Trevillion
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nSupervision plays a significant role in helping you build your knowledge\, increase self-awareness\, and improve your coaching practice.  The approach allows you to critically reflect on your practice\, explore what worked well and what did not\, gain insight into your strengths and potential blind spots\, while harnessing the resourcefulness within a group of attendees to support you. The focus is to create a safe and supportive environment that concentrates on participants’ learning.  The format is characterised by active listening and thoughtful questioning. We apply simple rules of reflection so individuals can take stock of their coaching\, explore their thoughts and feelings around their work\, and strengthen understanding and confidence. \nThe supervision will cover individual and whole group questions and topics. You will have the opportunity to explore individual issues or questions\, as well as themes shared by the group\, with attention around: \n\n\n\nEstablishing\, maintaining\, and concluding effective coaching relationships\nFulfilling client and organizational expectations\nApplication of models and techniques to address client’s needs\nDeveloping confidence and standards of competence\nAddressing immediate issues or concerns that might be impacting on your coaching\nEnsuring you adhere to professional\, ethical and organisational standards by addressing potential dilemmas of an ethical nature\, exploring conflicts around personal values.\n\n\n\nWho is this session for?\nThis group coaching supervision session is open to all coaches on the South East coaching register. \nBook your Place:\nPlease book your place via the green RSVP ‘Going’ button below. And\, most importantly\, how can we learn to live with it?\n  \nIn this popular masterclass with Jane Galloway from Quiet the Hive you will understand why your inner critic exists (including a revelation that might completely change how you think about it)\, how it shows up and what the link is to imposter syndrome. We’ll explore the different ways your inner critic shows up in your life and how it holds you back from reaching your full potential.\n\nYou’ll learn practical\, proven techniques for quieting this voice of self-doubt and navigating imposter syndrome with confidence.
