DESCRIPTION:About the workshop:\nResearch shows that the most powerful factor influencing culture is leadership. Leaders who model compassion\, inclusion and dedication to improvement in all their interactions are the key to creating cultures of continuous improvement in health and care. \nThis 2-part session uses the science of psychology to help you explore your own self-awareness\, emotional intelligence and personal impact with the aim of helping you to reach your leadership potential and achieve your career aspirations. It is aimed at emerging leaders\, clinical and non-clinical staff in band 5\, and above. \n\nWhat will be covered:\nThese interactive virtual workshops\, conducted over 2 x 2.5hr sessions will give you the opportunity to: \n\n\n\nExplore your personal values\, motivations\, and preferences for how you live and work\nThink about yourself in your current role\, your purpose\, your level of contentment\, and how well you think you perform.\nUnderstand how your emotions drive how you think and behave.\nExplore how you manage your emotions when faced with particularly difficult situations or work-life challenges and how you might better manage those situations.\nProtected time to explore your career/life journey and aspirations.\nUnderstand your impact on others and how you might be perceived by others\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will be asked to complete some pre-session and post self reflection work\, which is all designed to support the learning in the sessions and help you in the development of a personal action plan that captures your knowledge and skills so far in in your career and ensures some time to consider and understand the support you might need to implement your plan. SUMMARY:Leading Together: Support and Challenge for PCN Managers
DESCRIPTION:The Offer:\nThese sessions build on the success of Learning Sets for PCN managers in the South East over the last year. With expert facilitation\, the sessions provide an opportunity for PCN Managers to seek and offer peer support relating to the unique leadership challenges of this role. \nThe peer learning will also involve sharing perspectives and ideas while gently challenging each other to be bold and to try new things. The aim is for PCN Managers to feel less alone\, to learn with and from each other and to build a network. \nFormat:\n\n\n\n90 Minute virtual sessions\nFrequent sessions\, every 4 weeks\nIndividuals put forward their real\, live leadership issues they wish to explore and the group chooses which to focus on\nBook onto sessions as and when needed\nMax 8 people per session to enable small group inquiry and engagement\nSessions use the principles of supportive peer learning and critical friendship.\n\n\n\nWho the session is for:\n The sessions are open to all Primary Care Network Managers across the South-East Region. \nBook your place:\nReserve a place via our RSVP booking system below. You will receive the Joining Instructions on how to attend 1 week prior to the event. The HLM offers 360° feedback which includes a process for getting confidential feedback from line managers\, peers and direct reports. As a result\, it gives an individual an insight into other people’s perceptions of their leadership abilities and behaviour.  \nThe opportunity to work through 360° feedback with a trained facilitator increases both the impact and the value of the information for the individual and the return on investment for the organisation.   \nMore about the training: \nThis interactive programme is designed to give you an understanding of the HLM 360° model and how to interpret 360° reports in order to manage effective feedback sessions. At the end of the programme\, you will be qualified to provide feedback using the NHS Healthcare Leadership tool and you will be able to:  \n\n\n\ndeploy a full range of facilitation skills for many different types of feedback situations\nhelp individuals draw conclusions from a mass of detail\, decide what the priorities are\, produce an action plan and feel enthused about their future development\nstart having an open discussion about the participant’s behaviours and leadership approach\ncommunicate messages clearly and at the same time\, show sensitivity towards the individual\, especially where there is surprising or even ‘unwanted’ information\nfacilitate and understand group processes\, interactions and enable a team to take on board the feedback\, both as individuals and as team members\nprovide effective feedback \n\n\n\nThe training will include some preparatory work including completing an E-learning module and completion of a 360° Feedback Assessment.  \nWho is it for? \nThis programme is open to South East region staff who already have some training\, coaching/mentoring and facilitation experience and who wish to develop their own facilitation skills to help develop a compassionate and inclusive leadership culture within the NHS.  \nCommitment: \nYou must be able to commit to:·   \n\n\n\nprovide at least 2 feedback sessions a year to individuals\, either within your own organisation or for other organisations in the South East Region \nAttend CPD at least once a year \n\n\n\n Dates and how to book:\nThe training will take place across two half days on Friday\, 19th January 2024 and Friday\, 26th January 2024\, 9:00-13:30.
