DESCRIPTION:About the session: \nWe are pleased to let you know about a Coach Developmental Supervision Group\, led by Sylvia Benjamin. This offer is for 12 coaches who will form a Developmental Coach Supervision Group\, working together for 4 sessions over a year and will focus on reflective practice supervision & CPD. \nEach member needs to be able to attend all 4\, 2 ½ hours sessions as follows: \n18th July 9 – 11.30 \n10th October 9-11.30 \nSupervision plays a significant role in helping you build your knowledge\, increase self-awareness\, and improve your coaching practice. The approach allows you to critically reflect on your practice\, explore what worked well and what did not gain insight into your strengths and potential blind spots while harnessing the resourcefulness within a group to support you. \nWho is this session for? \nThis virtual supervision session is open to members of the South East Coaching faculty ONLY. SUMMARY:Systems Thinking Clinics
DESCRIPTION:Leading change effectively across complex systems is both an art and a science. It requires a mix of sensitive listening and political and leadership skills\, and a strong appreciation of how systems work: what makes them tick\, what changes their performance and behaviour\, and how to make logical sense of what you are seeing when you investigate and change them. \nWe have commissioned a series of system working clinics for people who are leading or directly involved in change which extends across more than one organisational boundary. \nThe clinics will be led by two highly experienced systems practitioners with a breadth of experience in understanding and improving systems\, and in developing critical system working skills in others. \nThe clinics’ focus and topics will be shaped by the participants’ situations; the tutors will explore these with you\, and will bring to life relevant principles\, methods\, tools\, tactics and tips for: \n\nSetting up a system intervention;\nWorking productively with differing views;\nSifting ‘signal’ from ‘noise’ in the system\, and knowing what to pay attention to;\nOvercoming resistance – from the system and the people within it;\nMaking meaningful change happen;\nPredicting and preventing ‘unintended consequences’;\nGathering evidence and measuring performance;\nReaching agreement and moving forward as a system\, in collaboration with others.\n\nThe clinics will be run along the lines of an action learning session.  As such they are limited to 6 participants. Each of the participants will have an opportunity to present their issue/ challenge /area of work and explore with the system experts new approaches\, solutions\, tips and advice about how to proceed to make their change programme work more effectively. All the participants in the clinic will benefit from exploring their own issues and also listening to the issues and dialogue about other system challenges. \nPlease email  beth.hill@leadershipacademy.nhs.uk  if you would like to clarify any details about these clinics. \nPlease only book if you are confident that you can attend; we need all six participants for the clinic to be an effective learning environment. \nPrior to the session\, you will be asked to complete a short pre-course reflection to inform the content of the clinic. He has been a practitioner\, trainer and consultant supporting communities and organisations to transform conflict into a healthy process which benefits from creative and empathetic experiences. DESCRIPTION:The Flexible Working Team\, together with colleagues from NHS Employers and Unison would like to invite you to a dedicated session on the complex scenarios that often arise around flexible working. \nIn June’s session we asked Flexible Working Network members what support they needed to implement flexible working in their organisations and teams and support with these ‘knotty issues’ was requested. \nThis session will explore some of the trickier scenarios that occur with flexible working e.g. accommodating flexible working requests in smaller teams\, and talk these through using examples developed by NHS Employers\, Staff Council and trade union colleagues. \nWe will be looking for attendees to share their experience in navigating these challenges as well as input on any other frequently occurring issues that require further support.
