DESCRIPTION:About this session:\nIn this workshop\, we’ll look at the important factors of what a challenging conversation is\, what makes it challenging\, and what holds us back and what can help us. Important elements to confidently having a challenging conversation include knowing your people\, building trust\, showing empathy and listening\, whilst managing your own thoughts\, feelings and emotions as well as those of others. She has led major culture change programmes alongside leadership development programmes and other consultancy projects to enable teams\, individuals and organisations to move through change and complexity. Jayne is the Primary Care Programme Lead and as part of this she works with individuals\, teams and networks across the South East to support the growth and maturity of Primary Care Networks and to grow and develop leaders within that. Jayne is also an experienced coach\, accredited in a number of psychometric tools and believes strongly in empowering leaders through their own insights to create the cultures of inclusion and compassion that we believe in.

SUMMARY:Working at Scale: Strategic Skills Programme for PCN Managers 2021: Session 2 of 6
DESCRIPTION:“This programme has stimulated and activated a lot of advice and learning\, helping me to reframe my skills and abilities in the context of my current role.” \nThis programme provides support and development for PCN (Primary Care Network) Managers with a focus on their personal skills of leadership and collaboration to ‘work at scale’.  It will consider the nature of the role and reflect on the rapid changes COVID has bought about to the way the PCN needs to work and move forward.  It is designed to equip PCN Managers with the tools\, skills\, strategies and networks to lead\, manage and influence change.  It will consider how PCNs and the NHS Long Term Plan (LTP) will shape the way healthcare is delivered locally\, regionally and nationally\, and have a voice in the emerging Integrated Care Systems. \nThe purpose of the programme is for PCN Managers to have an opportunity to step away from their busy operational environment and spend time networking\, sharing best practice and working ‘on their local healthcare environment’ rather than ‘operationally in it’.  It is not about how to be a PCN manager\, rather how to develop the skills that will support you to be effective in the role and to enable you to connect with other PCN Managers to help build a regional support network. \nSpecifically\, the programme aims are to: \n\n\n\nProvide you with a robust learning environment to develop ideas\, strategies\, skills and tools to drive their Primary Care Networks forward\, as appropriate.\nGive you time and space away from the busy operation to help them shape\, plan build and deliver change across the South East Region\, and in your PCN.\nWork with others on common challenges within Primary Care\, (e.g. Resourcing) and develop ways of working in collaboration\, co-production\, and joined up thinking.\nDevelop and enhance leadership skills and strategic thinking\, and how to engage others in change.\nEnhance and develop your personal network of other PCN Managers as well as healthcare leaders and decision makers in Primary Care.\n\n\n\nFor more information about this programme\, please click here. \n  \nOur Commitment  \nWe are committed to making our training as accessible as possible (please see our accessibility page for what is currently available)\, we are aware that there is more that we can be doing. She is the Digital Learning Lead for the South East\, and is a key contact for Coaching and Mentoring. Qualified as an MBTI facilitator\, EQi\, HLM 360 and an Executive coach Emma realised early on that her passion and purpose is to encourage the growth of others and\, when coaching\, seeing those light bulb moments is what drives her to continue to encourage individuals by providing them the time and space to think\, and bring their best self to work each and every day.

SUMMARY:Leading Innovation in Systems Programme: Module 1
DESCRIPTION:The Leadership Academy in partnership with Fischer Associates launched a new leadership action research programme that applies systems thinking to exploring why and how innovations get adopted and spread. \nThe programme will support system leaders across the South East Region in experiential learning\, working together on real time regional change in primary care.  The programme will last a minimum of 6 months and will focus on identifying how system change happens and how specific conditions for change can be created and recreated to support the scale and spread of other innovation.  As a leader on this programme\, you will contribute to developing a new approach to scale and spread of innovation to potentially be used across the South East region and will be expected to use this approach to a change programme in your own system. \nFor more information about this programme\, please click here.
