The Leadership Bite offers a number of practical ways of applying these ideas to practice. Both are pre-work for the interactive workshop. In the Leadership Espresso virtual interactive workshop\, you will be encouraged to share views\, discuss issues with colleagues\, reflect on your own practice\, apply your learning to your own context and explore the challenges and opportunities you face. \nBook your place:\nReserve a place via our RSVP booking system below. We would ask that you come prepared to have your camera’s on to support the interactive and people centred nature of the session. \nThe session is designed to be a warm\, relaxed and honest space\, for people to share their experiences and connect with colleagues. Much of the issues and challenges you may be facing with your teams and colleagues will be shared by others and we know that realising ‘you aren’t the only one’ often serves to offer comfort and strength. \nFor Rebekah\, the measure of how good any development session is\, comes down to – what you end up doing after the session is over . So\, these sessions are about practical application; what you do when you are back at your desk\, in your next next meeting or with your team – where ever possible Rebekah will provide you with things you can use\, do or try. \nThe session will be virtually delivered on Zoom. \nWho the session is for:\nThis virtual event is for colleagues working in Primary Care in the South East region\, who is currently responsible for supporting or leading or managing others in their Practice or PCN.  \nBook your place:\nBookings have now closed for this event. \nAbout the Facilitator\, Rebekah Giffney:\n \nRebekah is an experienced Chartered Occupational Psychologist\, with more than 18 years’ experience working with individuals\, teams and organisations. \nRebekah is passionate about helping people realise their full potential. SUMMARY:Coaching CPD: Coaching in a Crisis (Cohort 4)
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nThis session will explore Coaching in a Crisis from the perspective of the coach:  building an understanding of how to be impactful as a coach in a time-limited\, outcome focused coaching session. \nCalibrating your practice to supporting a coachee in potentially one standalone session can be challenging.  Overcoming some of the potential barriers\, natural preference and indeed bias to practicing in longer term coaching relationships will be key. We will explore the practicalities of contracting effectively to build rapport and trust quickly and then practice in an agile way along the spectrum of coaching to best meet the needs of the coachee. \nThe session will build upon your current knowledge and experience whilst revisiting coaching models\, tools and techniques to build confidence in your practice in a short-term coaching relationship. You can expect a highly interactive session with plenty of opportunity to practice your coaching skills. \nCommitment:\nYou will need to attend both the development session as well as a follow up session to be scheduled approximately 6 weeks after. Upon registering for this CPD opportunity we kindly ask for you to secure this date in your diaries. \nWe are looking for willingness to providing around 3 – 6 x 45-minute crisis coaching sessions per year (these may be one offs\, or\, up to 3 sessions with one coachee). These relationship will be  included in your current commitment to SELA Coaching hours. \nWho is this session for?\nThis virtual event is for our South East Coaching Faculty Only \nCriteria:\n\nExperience: Over 100 hours coaching experience\nQualified for over 2 years: (or have specific training supporting crisis coaching at a system level)\n\nBook your Place:\nReserve a place via our RSVP booking system below.
