SUMMARY:Chairing Impactful\, Inclusive and Productive Meetings workshop
DESCRIPTION:How many times have you heard the expression\, ‘I couldn’t get any work done because I was in meeting all day’? We sometimes have the view that meetings aren’t work – or that they get in the way of what we’re really supposed to be doing. And yet you could say that meetings are the work; in order to make decisions\, to collaborate effectively\, to share information\, to involve everyone who needs to be involved\, to demonstrate public accountability\, we need to meet with others. \n‘Never doubt that a small group of concerned\, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed\, it is the only thing that ever has.’ Margaret Mead \nThis objectives of this 3-hour workshop are: \n\n\n\nTo explore and practise some of the key skills involved in chairing and handling successful\, productive meetings\nTo explore and practise how to:\n\nBegin and end meetings well\nChair and/or participate in challenging or difficult meetings\n\n\nTo help you feel more confident in chairing meetings\n\n\n\nThe style of the workshop: \n\n\n\nThe workshop has been designed to be interactive and participative.\nThere will be a mixture of theory and practical exercises with the intention of bringing the theory to life and exploring the practical application of the techniques and strategies on offer\n\n\n\nWho is it for?  \nThis virtual event is for Senior leaders in Primary Care\, particularly relevant for Clinical Directors and PCN Managers. \nDate and how to apply \nDue to high popularity and interest in this workshop\, we have reached capacity and bookings have now closed. \nThe next workshop will be on the 9th March 13:00-16:00\, please click here for more details. \nThe team delivering the workshop: \nThe team delivering the workshops are from an organisation called Practive. That’s not only good for you. It creates positive ripples that impact on your family\, your team and patients.\nBouncing back is one thing\, bouncing forward is quite another. \nRISING STRONGER has individual and team resilience at its core. \n \nYour wellbeing 6-pack \nRISING STRONGER is built around a wellbeing and resilience ‘6-pack’: \n\nAdaptability: With the new normal in charge\, it’s important to be able to unlearn and relearn. 2021 will be challenging\, so you may as well learn a mindset to match\n The power of NOW: The best way to inoculate yourself against stress is to calm your thinking. Therefore\, we include a smidgeon of mindfulness like you’ve never heard it before\n3. Words create worlds: It’s so easy to slide back into old habits. We introduce a few words that will help you to rethink your thinking\n4. Drop the guilt: A recurring theme of all our training is to do less and be more. To reboot\, it’s often a matter of switching off and back on again. The same principle also applies to human beings\n5. Impact: We’re all superheroes pretending to be normal. Pants on the outside is a fashion faux pas so\, instead\, RISING STRONGER is about rediscovering your mojo\n6. To have your best year ever\, you need to learn to let go\n\nWho is this session for: \nOpen to colleagues\, clinical and non-clinical\, those who have an interest in leadership and those in a leadership or management role across the South East region. SUMMARY:Rising Stronger From Mental Health To Mental Wealth
DESCRIPTION:Rising Stronger is a “follow up” from the “Art of  being brilliant” – see for details below.  \nFrom mental health to mental wealth \nThe world has moved on and so must our thinking and behaviours.\nThis session is absolutely not about challenging you to up your game or work harder\, it’s about nudging you to remember who you are at your best. Getting over it: We all carry mental baggage and it ain’t half easy to develop a habit of grumbling. To have your best year ever\, you need to learn to let go\n\nWho is this session for: \nOpen to colleagues\, clinical and non-clinical\, those who have an interest in leadership and those in a leadership or management role across the South East region. We would highly recommend that you will have completed The Art of being Brilliant in advance of this session. These are taking place on the following dates: \n\nThe Art of being Brilliant 20 September 9:30am – 11:30am. Book your place here. \nThe Art of being Brilliant – 11 October 12:00 – 2:00pm. Book your place here. \n\nBook Your Place: \nReserve a place via our RSVP booking system below. His Loughborough University thesis was 12 years in the making and the reward for grinding out his PhD is that he gets to call himself a ‘Doctor of Happiness’. \nThe good doctor is lucky enough to work with some very large businesses\, including DHL\, Kelloggs\, Hewlett Packard\, Astra Zeneca\, Lego\, L’Oreal\, Nationwide and UEFA. He has tailored his workshops to meet the needs of children and teachers and delivers to audiences from age 8 upwards! \nAndy writes the ‘Brilliant’ range of self-help books for adults and teenagers\, and also pens the successful children’s ‘Spy Dog’ series for Puffin. \nHis books are frequently on the best-sellers list. ‘The Happiness Revolution’ is just out and he’s currently working on a writing project with Bear Grylls.
