SUMMARY:Chairing Impactful\, Inclusive and Productive Meetings workshop
DESCRIPTION:How many times have you heard the expression\, ‘I couldn’t get any work done because I was in meeting all day’? We sometimes have the view that meetings aren’t work – or that they get in the way of what we’re really supposed to be doing. And yet you could say that meetings are the work; in order to make decisions\, to collaborate effectively\, to share information\, to involve everyone who needs to be involved\, to demonstrate public accountability\, we need to meet with others. \n‘Never doubt that a small group of concerned\, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed\, it is the only thing that ever has.’ Margaret Mead \nThis objectives of this 3-hour workshop are:\n\n\n\nTo explore and practise some of the key skills involved in chairing and handling successful\, productive meetings\nTo explore and practise how to:\n\nBegin and end meetings well\nChair and/or participate in challenging or difficult meetings\n\n\nTo help you feel more confident in chairing meetings\n\n\n\nThe style of the workshop:\n\n\n\nThe workshop has been designed to be interactive and participative.\nThere will be a mixture of theory and practical exercises with the intention of bringing the theory to life and exploring the practical application of the techniques and strategies on offer\n\n\n\nWho is it for? \nThis virtual event is for Senior leaders in Primary Care\, particularly relevant for Clinical Directors and PCN Managers. \nDate and how to apply:\nBookings have now closed for this workshop on the 9th March 2022\, 13:00 – 16:00.   \nIf you would like to be added to the waiting list\, please email nhsi.selll@nhs.net. \nThe team delivering the workshop:\nThe team delivering the workshops are from an organisation called Practive. SUMMARY:Sustaining a Good Team Culture – Moving Forward Together Espresso (Primary Care)
DESCRIPTION:About this session:\nThe session will focus on exploring how managers and team leads in Primary care can continue to cultivate a good team culture\, exploring the impact on teams\, potential conflicts and how to support a team to build and process together through a period of intense pressure and adversity. The session includes a ‘how to’ guide on running a team meeting. The session will support individuals who are required to lead or support others in how they support and develop their teams. \nWhat to expect:\nThe session is participative and active. Rebekah uses breakout rooms\, interactive feedback tools (Menti.com) and group discussion. We would ask that you come prepared to have your camera’s on to support the interactive and people centred nature of the session. \nThe session is designed to be a warm\, relaxed and honest space\, for people to share their experiences and connect with colleagues. Much of the issues and challenges you may be facing with your teams and colleagues will be shared by others and we know that realising ‘you aren’t the only one’ often serves to offer comfort and strength. \nFor Rebekah\, the measure of how good any development session is\, comes down to – what you end up doing after the session is over . So\, these sessions are about practical application; what you do when you are back at your desk\, in your next next meeting or with your team – where ever possible Rebekah will provide you with things you can use\, do or try. \nThe session will be virtually delivered on Zoom. \nWho the session is for:\nThis virtual event is for colleagues working in Primary Care in the South East region\, who is currently responsible for supporting or leading or managing others in their Practice or PCN.  \nBook your place:\nBookings have now closed for this event. \nOur Commitment \nWe are committed to making our training as accessible as possible (please see our accessibility page for what is currently available)\, we are aware that there is more that we can be doing. Please do contact us if there are any reasonable adjustments that we can make to support you to be able to attend this session. england.selll@nhs.net  \nAbout the Facilitator\, Rebekah Giffney:\n \nRebekah is an experienced Chartered Occupational Psychologist\, with more than 18 years’ experience working with individuals\, teams and organisations. \nRebekah is passionate about helping people realise their full potential. With her team of practitioners Rebekah provides a range of learning opportunities that hone and harness the skills\, expertise and abilities of people to meet the situations and challenges they face at work. \nRebekah started her career in Primary Care and now works exclusively with the NHS. She currently delivers a range of bespoke interventions across GP Practices\, PCNs\, CCGs/ICS and secondary care. Rebekah is at the forefront of the provision of leadership\, culture and team development for clinicians and managers and believes that understanding the context\, culture and impact of now is vital l in supporting people to get through the challenge of now.
