SUMMARY:Leadership Espresso - Conversations to Build Resilience
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nThis 90-minute leadership espresso is for anyone who wants to know how to manage sensitive conversations to support their teams and colleagues when working under pressure. \nWhat will be covered?\nDuring this session we will be: \n\n– Exploring factors that influence an individuals’ ability to manage the challenges of extreme pressure\n– Identifying ways to create a safe space for supportive conversations when dealing with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of stress/anxiety/depression/burnout\n– Discussing ways to provide feedback and support for staff experiencing symptoms of stress/anxiety/depression/burnout\n– Taking a personal perspective on how to maintain boundaries and look after yourself\n– Sharing learnings and discussing strategies to encourage staff to engage in support services when appropriate\n\nWho is this session for?\nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care. \nBook your Place:\nBook a place via our RSVP booking system below. You will receive the joining instructions for the event 1 week before the session. \nSELA will retain a record of your name\, job role\, organisation\, band\, and contact details on its secure alumni register and contacts database for management information and communications purposes. Although we will be able to see your name and email address upon submission\, this data will be anonymised from the EDI details. We appreciate your support in providing this information\, which will help us to ensure our leadership development interventions are widely accessible and inclusive. \nYour booking details (i.e. name\, role\, organisation\, ICS) will be shared with the event provider and/or facilitator to allow them to understand participant thinking and adapt the event accordingly\, in addition to other regional leadership academies (as required) and with the members of other relevant SELA networks to aid communication\, sharing of good practice and support. SUMMARY:South East Regional Leadership\, OD and EDI Professionals Network – Talent
DESCRIPTION:Based on feedback we received from OD and EDI leads indicated a need and ask for a region-wide community to be created – allowing for those opportunities to connect within one another and help each other with leadership and workforce challenges\, sharing what is making an impact and speeding up scaling of great work. \nWe know that leadership and OD and EDI leads meet within an ICS footprint (although in some areas this is being refreshed due to a pause resulting from Covid) however the ask from colleagues is for a network that connects colleagues beyond their own ICS so that there is a larger potential community to learn from. \nThe inaugural event ran in July 2022 and provided time for individuals to start to create this forward thinking and transformational network with true connections and peer networking at the core. \nOur Next Meeting Theme is – Talent\nYou identified Talent as your second priority topic to explore as a network. \nYou have told us you most value time together to connect with colleagues in the network with that in mind we are creating a number of opportunities for conversations with colleagues within this session. \nConfirm Your Attendance\nPlease confirm your attendance via our RSVP booking system below for the South East Regional Leadership and OD Professionals Network Event on the 15th March 2023 – 12:00 – 14.00.
