DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nDo you suspect someone in your team is burning out? It can be hard to know what to do. This 90-minute leadership espresso has been designed for staff who are concerned that their teams are working through times of extreme pressure. DESCRIPTION:The South East Leadership Academy are pleased to introduce a new learning programme; Supporting you with Meaningful Mediation Skills\, which provides you with an opportunity to explore and apply a range of approaches in the management and resolution of workplace conflict. Conflict at work can be stressful\, time consuming and disruptive for those directly involved and also those within the team and / or department who are indirectly involved. Responding to conflict when it arises and addressing the root cause at the earliest opportunity can reduce how wide reaching and entrenched the conflict becomes and help to limit the negative residual impact that can often ripple through a team. \nMediation is about working with employees’ central to the conflict situation\, to help them understand the key issues\, determine possible solutions and how to move forward beyond the conflict. \nThese sessions focus on the skill of mediation and will provide time for you to learn new tools and techniques to support yourself and your teams in addressing conflict. This programme is designed to refresh and refine your skills in how to respond or facilitate the resolution of conflict in the workplace. \nDescribed below is a summary of the programme\, it is important to note that this programme has been designed for and aimed at people experiencing current or ‘live’ situations where they have a direct role in supporting the resolution of a conflict situation. \nThe programme is delivered by Noelle Davies a qualified Workplace Mediator & Conflict Coach who works across a range of public and private sector industries as a conflict expert. \nWho is this session for?\nThis programme has been designed specifically to support those working in HR\, who have a “live” workplace conflict to work through and who have been selected as someone who may be interested in this programme. \nAs places are extremely limited please can you confirm your interest in taking up one of the 8 available delegate places by completing the booking form. \nOnce your place has been confirmed you will be contacted via Noelle directly through email to introduce herself and share the questionnaire to complete. It emphasises the power of effective communication\, levels of listening and the importance of creating moments of connection during increased times of pressure\, workload and secondary stressors. We explore the potential impact on self-confidence\, decision making and team dynamics / behaviours with support on how to rebuild or sustain healthy team cultures through period of sustained pressure and adversity. At the heart of this virtual session is a belief that individuals need to be supported and cared for – provided with time and space to reflect\, process and understand their current context so they are equipped to manage the challenges and pressures they face. Through having guided development time\, we increase our ability to support others and lead successfully within a continually changing context. With her team of practitioners Rebekah provides a range of learning opportunities that hone and harness the skills\, expertise and abilities of people to meet the situations and challenges they face at work. \nRebekah started her career in Primary Care and now works exclusively with the NHS. She currently delivers a range of bespoke interventions across GP Practices\, PCNs\, CCGs/ICS and secondary care. Rebekah is at the forefront of the provision of leadership\, culture and team development for clinicians and managers and believes that understanding the context\, culture and impact of now is vital l in supporting people to get through the challenge of now. All her work is grounded in the science of psychology but she focuses on how to apply that knowledge and learning in a practical and lived way.
