SUMMARY:Effective Mentoring Training for Senior Leaders and Aspirant Directors Session 1 of 3
DESCRIPTION:Developing potential within others\nMentoring supports an individual or team’s learning\, development and performance. It is a successful developmental technique for organisations to use to support individuals to reach their full potential by offering them access to regular and contracted support from another person at work. \nMentoring can be particularly when targeting a specific audience such as mentoring for talent or inclusion and the training will focus on the skills\, knowledge\, tools and techniques to mentor effectively in practice within the NHS setting both mentor and mentee up for a successful and productive relationship. \nWho is it for?\nThis development is offered to NHS Senior Leaders and Aspiring Directors working in the South East region\, who will then become part of our regional Mentor facility and offer mentoring throughout our regional register. \nWhy Mentor training?\nAs Aspiring directors\, mentor training will build your ability to: \n\n\n\ndevelop the strengths and development needs of a diverse range of individuals\nspots potential: explore the career aspirations and shape development activities to support people to achieve their goals\nhelp mentees identify any capability gaps and close that gap\n\n\n\nThe material and practical exercises cover the following areas in order to build confidence in mentoring others within the workplace. \nObjectives\nThe session will be virtually delivered using Zoom. \nDay 1 (full day) \n\n\n\nUnderstanding what mentoring is (and what it is not)\nUnderstanding the context for mentoring and explore the role and responsibilities of the mentor\nDeveloping your own mentoring skills\nUsing process\, logs and paperwork to help bring focus to our mentoring\nUsing tools and techniques to creatively support and mentor\nTo practice mentoring skills and techniques in a range of circumstances\nTo explore how to use mentoring in practice to support and develop individuals.\n\n\n\nDay 2 (half day) \nThis will be a reflective CPD session with the opportunity to bring cases and explore application of learning in practice. The material and practical exercises cover the following areas in order to build confidence in mentoring others within the workplace. \nDates\nTo be accepted onto this programme\, it is essential that applicants can make both training days and attend the check in session : \n\n\n\nTraining Session (Day 1) – Thursday 3rd November 2022 – 9:00 am – 4:30 pm\nCheck in Session – Friday 13th January 2022 – 9.00pm – 10.00pm\nCPD & Supervision Session (Day 2) – Thursday 2nd March 2023 – 9:00am – 12.00pm  \n\n\n\nIt is also expected to work with 2 mentees over every 12 month period following the training.    \nHow to apply?\n\nClick here to apply\n\nClosing date: Friday\, 14th October 2022. \nAll applications will be subject to shortlisting and successful delegates will be notified of the outcome of their submission by 20th October 2022.  \nParticipants who attend this programme will join the South East Coaching and Mentoring Register (please visit our Coaching and Mentoring page here\, and review the ‘Mentoring Requirements’ pdf) \nOngoing support\nMentors will be offered access to quarterly CPD and Supervision following the initial training with the expectation they will aim to attend 2 sessions per year to maintain practice\,

SUMMARY:Coaching Supervision with Fenella Trevillon
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nWe are pleased to invite you to register your interest to attend a Coaching Supervision Session\, led by Fenella Trevillion. \nSupervision plays a significant role in helping you build your knowledge\, increase self-awareness\, and improve your coaching practice.  The session begins with an introductions (clarifying the confidentiality and respect agreements\, emphasising inclusion); then a welcome using a mindfulness approach and giving you an opportunity to pause away from the activities of your day. I invite brief sharing the overview of a topic or a coachee/session you are considering bringing\, we agree a sequence and then go round. Each contributor describes their situation saying what they might like out of the discussion that then follows and all is shared. The emphasis is on the sharing\, learning and enjoyment by all! I request that phones are not accessed and\, cameras turned on. \nWho is this session for?\nThis supervision session is open to all the South East Coaching Faculty.\n\nBook your Place:\nPlease register your place via the RSVP ticket tool below. She has spent 20 years in leadership roles in large complex organizations\, including a Clinical Commissioning Group\, Health Care Trusts and in Local Authorities.
