SUMMARY:Mentoring CPD: Strengths-based Mentoring
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\n\nSTRENGTHS-BASED MENTORING – Restoring confidence and a sense of competence through mentoring \nThis workshop will explore how mentors can use positive psychology approaches to help themselves\, as well as their mentees\, reconnect with their strengths and talents.  This is proven to improve well-being and confidence (and tame that imposter gremlin).  Too often we focus on what we need to rectify and what we see as our weaknesses.  We want to turn this on its head and look at how we can help each other celebrate what we do well\, why we work in healthcare and what gives us job satisfaction. \n\nWho is this session for?\nThis virtual event is for our South East  Mentoring Faculty Only\nBook your Place:\nBook a place via our RSVP booking system below. You will receive the Joining Instructions on how to attend 1 week prior to the event. \nIf your circumstances change and you can no longer attend\, please email england.selll@nhs.net \nAlthough we will be able to see your name and email address upon submission\, once extrapolated this data will be anonymised. We appreciate your support in providing this information\, which will help us to ensure our leadership development interventions are widely accessible and inclusive. \nThe session will be delivered virtually on Microsoft Teams \nOur Commitment \nWe are committed to making our training as accessible as possible (please see our accessibility page for what is currently available)\, we are aware that there is more that we can be doing. Please do contact us if there are any reasonable adjustments that we can make to support you to be able to attend this session. england.selll@nhs.net  \nAbout the Facilitators\nLorna Wellsteed\, Director of Wellsteed Associates\nLorna Wellsteed is a member of the NHS Leadership Academy Faculty and an experienced and accredited professional executive coach.  She has an Advanced Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching from the Academy of Executive Coaching and dual accreditation for her coaching practice.  Lorna is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).  Lorna has been a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD since 2002 and subscribes fully to the CIPD\, ICF and EMCC codes of ethics.  In all her work Lorna draws on her experience as an executive coach\, team coach\, consultant\, facilitator and trainer.  She has extensive experience in designing and implementing mentor schemes in the NHS and regularly provides mentoring training and development.
