SUMMARY:Bitesize Coaching Connection Session
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nAs a member of our cohort of crisis coaches\, you will have gained some experience of short term coaching relationships aimed at supporting an individual with a specific issue or challenge. Hopefully you will have seen the benefit of offering a space for that individual to work through their issue with an objective\, impartial listening partner. You may also have gained a sense of satisfaction in practicing with agility and being person centred in your coaching.   \nWe would like to give you the opportunity to: \n\n– Connect with fellow coaches \n– Share experiences  \n– Listen to each other  \n– Reflect together \n– Build relationships across the region\n– Learn new skills to enhance your practice\n\nWe are offering a Connection Session to bring our crisis coaches together to share and learn in a semi-structured environment. He is an experienced development professional with a background in organisational development\, leadership development and human resources. John’s experience spans a number of sectors and has included senior roles in NHS provider organisations\, he has worked at regional and national level as a Deputy Director at the NHS Leadership Academy. \nJohn brings a depth of experience and understanding to Organisational Development and Leadership Development. His passion is to work in partnership to enable insight and growth whilst exploring the complexities\, challenges and rewards of leadership. \nJohn is a chartered member of the CIPD and holds a Masters Degree in HRM\, he is an accredited Executive Coach\, an accredited MBTI practitioner and a Strengthscope Master.

SUMMARY:Embedding my mentoring practice- "Strengths Based mentoring" – CPD
DESCRIPTION:About Embedding my mentoring practice –CPD\nMentoring supports an individual or team’s learning\, development and performance. It is a successful developmental technique for organisations to use to support individuals to reach their full potential by offering them access to regular and contracted support from another person at work. The training will focus on the skills\, knowledge\, tools and techniques to mentor effectively in practice within the NHS. \nWho is this session for?\nA reflective CPD session with opportunity to bring cases and explore application of learning in practice. The material and practical exercises cover the following areas in order to build confidence in mentoring others within the workplace. \nObjectives;  \n\n– Understanding what mentoring is (and what it is not)\n– Understanding the context for mentoring and explore the role and responsibilities of the mentor\n– Developing your own mentoring skills\n– Using process\, logs and paperwork to help bring focus to our mentoring\n– Using tools and techniques to creatively support and mentor\n– To practice mentoring skills and techniques in a range of circumstances\n– To explore how to use mentoring in practice to support and develop individuals.\n\nExpectations \nTo be accepted onto this programme\, it is essential that applicants can make both training days: \nTraining (Day 1) – Tuesday 17 May 2022 – 9:00 am – 4:30 pm \nCPD (Day 2) – Thursday 29th September 2022 – 9:00am – 12pm \nTo apply : Effective Mentoring Training – Developing potential within others – CPD and Supervision \nAbout the Facilitators\nCath Brown\, CBC\nCBC facilitators are trained and qualified as a coaches\, facilitators and supervisors. We focus on individual’s potential to achieve by focusing on their strengths\, understanding interference\, raising awareness to recognise issues and to take responsibility for actions. We work with your people and your organisation using a diagnostic approach to enable organisations to develop their own approach with ownership of activity and practice. We have a track record of delivering these particular programmes to great success across a range of different sectors and organisations. \n

SUMMARY:Virtual Group Supervision for Coaches with Will Jackson
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nSupervision plays a significant role in helping you build your knowledge\, increase self-awareness\, and improve your coaching practice.  The approach allows you to critically reflect on your practice\, explore what worked well and what did not\, gain insight into your strengths and potential blind spots\, while harnessing the resourcefulness within a group of 6-8 attendees to support you. The focus is to create a safe and supportive environment that concentrates on participants’ learning.  The format is characterised by active listening and thoughtful questioning. We apply simple rules of reflection so individuals can take stock of their coaching\, explore their thoughts and feelings around their work\, and strengthen understanding and confidence. \n\nThe supervision will cover individual and whole group questions and topics. You will have the opportunity to explore individual issues or questions\, as well as themes shared by the group\, with attention around: \n\n\n\n\n– Establishing\, maintaining\, and concluding effective coaching relationships\n– Fulfilling client and organizational expectations\n– Application of models and techniques to address client’s needs\n– Developing confidence and standards of competence\n– Addressing immediate issues or concerns that might be impacting on your coaching\n– Ensuring you adhere to professional\, ethical and organisational standards by addressing potential dilemmas of an ethical nature\, exploring conflicts around personal values.\n\n\nWho is this session for?\nThis supervision session is open to all the South East Coaching Faculty.\n \nBook your Place:\nPlease register your place via the RSVP ticket tool below. He has extensively supported directors and senior managers across sectors\, from the NHS\, national and local government departments\, the College of Police\, Microsoft\, to charities and social enterprises. Will holds an Advanced Professional Practice supervision qualification from Oxford Brookes University and is an NLP Master Practitioner. He is an accredited consultant with the National College for Teaching and Leadership and delivered programmes for Manchester University’s Centre for Educational Leadership to local government and education leaders to build strategic leadership capability. Will also has an MBA from Manchester Business School. \nCoaching across different NHS organisations has given Will an in-depth understanding of the challenges and pressures staff in a highly pressured\, changing landscape. From 2009 he worked with the learning and development team at South London Healthcare Trust to develop internal coaches\, and subsequently provided group and individual supervision. Will brings a collaborative approach to supervision\, aiming to build greater awareness and capability through positive support\, clear feedback\, and challenge.
