SUMMARY:Coach Specialist: Informing our Approach to Coaching for Health & Well-being
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nWe have commissioned TPC Health to design a short programme to support qualified NHS coaches to learn more about how to provide coaching that supports the wellbeing of our workforce. It is important to note that the request is not for training clinicians to use health coaching as part of their patient care role. Rather\, the main intention of this intervention is to support coaches to learn specific coaching approaches and techniques that they can use with their clients (NHS staff) to enhance wellbeing and build resilience. \nWe invite you to join us for an opportunity to discuss the application of coaching to health and well-being conversations. We will be interested in discussing the following questions which will help inform the programme content: \n\n– What interests you about using a coaching approach for health and well-being?\n– What kind of health and well-being needs are your coachees bringing to coaching sessions?\n– What health and well-being topics would you be interested in learning about using coaching to address?\n\nWho is this session for?\nThe session is for qualified coaches who are registered and supporting the South East Academy regional coaching register. \nBook your Place:\nBook here: You will receive the Joining Instructions on how to attend the session 1 week prior to the event. If your circumstances change and you can no longer attend\, please email england.selll@nhs.net \nRegister for a place via our booking form \nAlthough we will be able to see your name and email address upon submission\, once extrapolated this data will be anonymised. We appreciate your support in providing this information\, which will help us to ensure our leadership development interventions are widely accessible and inclusive.  \nThe session will be virtually on Zoom  \nOur Commitment \nWe are committed to making our training as accessible as possible (please see our accessibility page for what is currently available)\, we are aware that there is more that we can be doing. Please do contact us if there are any reasonable adjustments that we can make to support you to be able to attend this session. england.selll@nhs.net  \nAbout the Facilitators\nDr Andrew McDowell of TPC Health.\nThe session will be facilitated by Dr Andrew McDowell of  TPC Health.  Andrew is a psychologist\, coach and leadership professional with more than 30 years experience in the health and care sector.

SUMMARY:Developing a Coaching Culture Programme - Workshop 2 of 6
DESCRIPTION:Our series of initial workshops will aim to: \n\nEstablish an influential community with a shared objective of developing a culture of coaching across our region\, exploring together what this truly means.\nEngage a community who challenge and support each other’s thinking and practice through long-term relationships with mutual agreement of expectations and accountabilities.\nNurture\, mobilise\, grow and sustain a Coaching Culture throughout the region and beyond.\n\n\nWorkshop 1: Monday 28th March 13:00-17:00 – ‘Why and What’: Why might we want a coaching culture? What might it look like? What are the pros and cons?\nWorkshop 2: Friday 29th April 09:00-13:00–   ‘How and Who’: How we’ll create the culture we’re looking for\, in our own teams and organisations. Who we’ll need to help us and how we’ll get them on board.\nWorkshop 3: Monday 16th May 13:00-17:00 – ‘Where and When’: Where and when is this already happening? What green shoots are we seeing\, here and elsewhere\, and how can we nurture them?\nWorkshop 4: Monday 6th June 13:00-17:00 – ‘What next?’: Mapping and modelling the complex systems that enable and inhibit this culture we’re seeking. Setting ourselves up for success going forward.\nAction Learning Set – group 1 –  27th June \, 13:00- 17:00\nAction Learning Set – group 2 –4th July 13:00-17:00\n\nThis programme is open to all staff working in the South East who are true advocates of coaching and mentoring-type interactions\, and/or are effective and passionate developers of these skills whether this is something you do formally and consciously\, or instinctively day-to-day. This community is for the people who see the value in slowing down to speed up\, and can facilitate opportunities for others to do the same. This programme is not appropriate for qualified Coaches \nYou will be either employed by the NHS or working with an NHS funded employer delivering NHS funded care in clinical or non-clinical roles \nNB: This is not training programme per se and there will be no Coaching accreditation or qualification at the end. It is a structured\, bespoke\, highly collaborative and interconnected series of sessions aimed at helping you nurture\, mobilise\, grow and sustain a Coaching Culture in your organisation. The emphasis is on helping each other navigate the various enablers and inhibitors in our organisations. We’ve asked the facilitator to use their expertise in coaching and culture change to support and enable us\, just like a really good coach would. So\, there’s very little teaching indeed: for the most part\, we are the content. \nFor more information on this programme please visit the Developing a Coaching Culture Programme webpage.
