SUMMARY:The Power of Compassion for Inclusion programme
DESCRIPTION:Compassionate Self – self-care and resilience (Workshop 1 of 3)\nIntroduction: \nOur innate instinct to show compassion when we see others in distress or difficulty is an important part of what makes us human. At the same time\, it is also humanly possible to be selective with our compassion resulting in inequitable treatment and outcomes. This can be due to a range of different factors\, and during these workshops we explore\, what can impede compassion and also ways to expand our innate compassion to contribute to building inclusive mindsets\, practices and cultures. Learning how simple everyday changes can make a real difference.    \n\n\n\nThis workshop provides those attending an opportunity to explore our roles and responsibilities in addressing inequality and discrimination. How self-compassion and resilience are important vehicles for change\, helping us to stay present in uncomfortable situations\, to find our voice and contribute to building inclusive cultures. \nThis programme runs across 3 workshops and this is the first workshop of three. \n\n\n\n\n\nWho is this session for:\n\n\n\nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.
