SUMMARY:Leadership Espresso - Giving and Receiving Effective Feedback
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nGiving and receiving feedback is an essential part of any role\, when done in the right way and with the right intentions\, feedback can lead to outstanding performance. Giving feedback is a skill. And like all skills\, it takes practice to get it right. This 90-minute leadership espresso has been designed to support you to give feedback constructively and effectively across difference\, for example race\, gender\, sexuality and disability. \nWhat will be covered?\nDuring the session we will: \n\nexplore models for giving and receiving feedback\nconsider the issues of giving and receiving feedback across difference\, for example race\, gender\, sexuality and disability\nreflect on unconscious bias in the feedback process – barriers and enablers to effective feedback\nconsider the art of non-violent conversation\npractice the skills of giving and receiving feedback\n\nWho is this session for?\nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.\nBook your Place:\nReserve a place via our RSVP booking system below. I am passionate about individuals and communities finding their voice and taking up leadership roles. I have worked in the public sector for many years leading on service transformation and performance improvement including work with Central and Local Government\, The National Health Service\, Fire and Rescue Service and Police. \nI am currently working with Voluntary Sector Organisations including Law Centres\, Community Groups and National Think Tanks\, NHS Trusts including leadership in A&E\, across Foundation Trusts and with Community Drug and Alcohol Services.

She has coached at all leadership levels within organisations from graduates to Directors\, Executives and leadership teams across a variety of functions. She is an accredited Resilience Coach with The Resilience Engine\, and is passionate about building strong relationships with her clients and helping individuals and teams enhance their performance by focusing on their wellbeing\, mental health and resilience. \nShe encourages exploration of their leadership styles and emotional intelligence to make sustainable changes to their behaviour and performance. She brings a high degree of presence\, support and challenge to enable her clients to fully embrace change. Her recent team and individual assignments have been focused on exploring purpose and developing trust\, empathy\, empowerment and wellbeing for themselves and their teams. \n
