SUMMARY:Leadership Espresso – Conversations to Build Resilience Part 1
DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nThese are unprecedented times\, the only conversations we are hearing are those about COVID-19. We are juggling work and personal lives that are more disruptive\, stressful\, and ever changing with often increasing demands. This 90-minute leadership espresso is for anyone who wants to know how to manage sensitive conversations to support their teams and colleagues when working under pressure. \nYou will be invited to share experiences and commit to an action to take back into your workplace to apply your learning in a tangible way. \nWhat will be covered?\nDuring the session we will be: \n\nExploring factors that influence an individuals’ ability to manage the challenges of extreme pressure\nIdentifying ways to create a safe space for supportive conversations when dealing with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of stress/anxiety/depression/burnout\nDiscussing ways to provide feedback and support for staff experiencing symptoms of stress/anxiety/depression/burnout\nTaking a personal perspective on how to maintain boundaries and look after yourself\nSharing learnings and discussing strategies to encourage staff to engage in support services when appropriate\n\nWho is this session for?\n\nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care. \nWe would encourage you where possible to attend our Resilience Part 2 session with the same group who attended your Resilience Part 1 session. \n\n\nFollow on:\nPart 2 – Wednesday 2nd February 2022 9:30am – 11:00am. Now working in the prevention of these conditions to contribute towards developing resilience.\nCurrent work developing psycho-educational programmes for university students plus the design and delivery of training for staff around support students balanced with self-care\nWrote chapter on stress management in Coaching for Excellent book (4th edition available in the summer).

DESCRIPTION:About the session:\nThis short espresso session will be an opportunity to learn about mental health & wellbeing\, understand stigmas of mental health and explore the impact of remote working on your wellbeing and energy sources. She is the Digital Learning Lead for the South East\, and is a key contact for Coaching and Mentoring. Qualified as an MBTI facilitator\, EQi\, HLM 360 and an Executive coach Emma realised early on that her passion and purpose is to encourage the growth of others and\, when coaching\, seeing those light bulb moments is what drives her to continue to encourage individuals by providing them the time and space to think\, and bring their best self to work each and every day.
