SUMMARY:Leadership Espresso - Leading Hybrid Teams
DESCRIPTION:About this session:\nWhether teams are dispersed\, together\, or a mix of both\, as leaders we have a key role in re-shaping our cultures so that colleagues can thrive and do their best work. The emerging extent of flexible and remote working is largely uncharted territory in the NHS\, in which there will be pitfalls we wish to avoid and also huge opportunities to improve the way we work together. \nThis Hybrid Working series provides protected ‘headspace’ and ‘thinking time’ for busy managers to consider thought-provoking ideas\, share views\, discuss issues with colleagues\, reflect on your own practice\, apply your learning to your own context and ask any questions you have. \nPlease note that these sessions will not cover the contractual\, legal or logistical aspects of hybrid working. \nThe session will be virtually delivered via Zoom. Please ensure you have accessibility for this platform in order to attend. \nWhat will be covered?\nIn a hybrid working context\, how do we: \n\nModel inclusive leadership?\nTake care of our own and each other’s wellbeing?\nBalance individual\, team and organisational needs?\nAdapt our own leadership behaviours and approach?\nFacilitate effective meetings and meaningful\, human connections?\n\nWho the session is for:\nThe NHS Leadership Academy provides leadership development for people of all backgrounds and experiences across health and care.\nPre-Work:\nPre-work will be sent one week before the session\, which will require attendees to read and watch (no more than 30 minutes) before attending the session. The session itself will incorporate learnings from the pre-work\, so to ensure you get the most from the interactive session\, please complete this beforehand. \nThe Leadership Short provides a video overview of key issues and ideas to consider when leading hybrid teams. The Leadership Bite offers a number of practical ways of applying these ideas to practice. Both are pre-work for the interactive workshop. In the Leadership Espresso virtual interactive workshop\, you will be encouraged to share views\, discuss issues with colleagues\, reflect on your own practice\, apply your learning to your own context and explore the challenges and opportunities you face. \nBook your place:\nReserve a place via our RSVP booking system below. If your circumstances change and you can no longer attend\, please email nhsi.selll@nhs.net \nAbout the Facilitator:\nThe workshop will be facilitated by Dr Jeanne Hardacre\, Founding Director of Impact4Health\, which is a specialist leadership\, OD and culture change consultancy. Among a wide range of NHS teams\, Jeanne is supporting several primary care practices\, PCNs and practice manager forums with their leadership in a virtual context. \nFurther information can be found at www.impact4.co.uk
